POEMS

ANY STAR

By Mauro C. Souza © 2010

Life goes away
The past remains
Obfuscated
On the corners
Of memories
No glories
No fights
No frights
The pace is null
Days come, days go
Cold nights
And dreary
In the dark
A voice from the alley
Of a room
Keeps presence
With the tears
Of loneliness
The soul wearies off
Of sand grains dancing
Disappearing between the fingers
Leaving the last moments
Longing for the impossible
Agony for becoming one day
A star
Like any other
